I launched my "Design Systems Bits" newsletter two years ago to share random pieces about design systems. I didnβt give it the attention it deserved though. Now, I'd like to change that and share more regularly.
The original name also didn't quite capture the dynamic and ever-changing nature of design systems. It didn't reflect the reality that design systems are always evolving and adapting to new user or organization needs, technologies, and best practices. Hence, the new name for my newsletter: Constantly Changing.
What to expect then? If you've seen some of my talks in the past, you know that I always strive to provide practical advice that can be used even if you don't have a large design systems team. I want to continue doing that and add some personal thoughts on where design systems are heading. Additionally, I want to look at design systems from the perspective of smaller teams, as I have gained some experience in this area in recent years.
Finally, I hope to use my newsletter as a platform for us to interact. If you have any questions or would like me to explore certain design systems topics more in-depth in future newsletters, please reply and let me know. I'm excited to connect with you all.
Thanks for sticking with me, and here's to many more Constantly Changing newsletters!
Cheers,
P.S. At the end of each newsletter, Iβll share one or a few of the interesting links I've come across, along with a brief comment. Donβt forget to check them out!

π Atlassian released a vision video for their Atlassian Design System.
Even though Iβve never worked on a design system of this scale (by far), itβs still helpful to see the words and phrases they use to explain the benefits of having a design system. This can be applied to any organization, regardless of size or the size of the design team.
Good luck!
